Jeffrey Vitrano retired from the Linden Police Department with the rank of Captain after a distinguished 43-year career. Jeff primarily held investigative positions throughout his career either leading or supervising thousands of investigations involving police misconduct, major crimes, public corruption, auto / cargo theft, narcotic offenses, and organized crime. During his career, Jeff was deputized as a federal officer for a successful international criminal investigation, held a supervisory position on an Essex / Union Counties Prosecutor Offices Task Force, and designated as a Law Enforcement Executive Board Member for FBI Newark JTTF. 

Jeff received numerous commendations for heroism and exemplary police work from the Linden Police Department. He also received recognition for his investigative skills from local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.  

Jeff holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Missouri Southern State University and a MA in Human Resources Training and Development from Seton Hall University. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy.
